Databeacon Smart Client Standard leverages Microsoft’s .NET Framework to offer multiple report viewers, unparalleled integration with Windows desktop tools, and a robust security model.

Databeacon Smart Client Standard offers three innovative and complementary smart client viewers to increase adoption of Web Reporting and Data Analysis. Instead of a one-size-fits-all user experience, Databeacon Smart Client’s Web Reporter, Player and Insight viewers are built to suit differing user requirements. The three Databeacon Smart Client viewers are:

• Databeacon Web Reporter for information consumers
• Databeacon Player for data explorers
• Databeacon Insight for power user analysts,
  report designers and I.T.

Databeacon Smart Client Standard leverages the .NET Framework to deliver a Web Reporting and Data Analysis solution that offers an instantly responsive and familiar Windows desktop experience. It also works on multiple server platforms, including Microsoft, Linux and Unix servers. It provides the following capabilities:

• Select a viewer (Web Explorer/Player/Insight) suited to individual business needs and preferences
• Add, organize, delete or edit reports
• Display data as tables, graphs or charts
• View data dimensionally, expanding and collapsing hierarchical categories
• Drag and drop from multiple categories onto the report axes to see what is important
• Nest categories to show interrelationships in the data
• Sort data according to lowest, highest or custom values
• Filter the report to show only the data that matters
• Hide categories to create more focused reports
• Use relative time periods to enhance time-based analysis
• Apply calculations to expose information not directly contained in the data
• Drill through to detailed source records for fine grained analysis
• Send reports to others, with data attachments
• Export to Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and other desktop products to further explore the data
• Undo and redo actions for flexible analysis and recovery
• Access security based on site trust levels, not certificates requiring user acknowledgement. With .NET security, administrators and users are in complete control of what runs on the client machine
